Race Course Description
 
  The race begins with a quarter mile swim in Wallum Pond. It is a triangular swim course. The water is beautiful and warm.

There is a new, bike course for 2009. It is a single loop 10.7 mile bike route. Follow road from transition area to the park exit. Take a left out of park onto Wallum Pond Road. Follow Wallum Pond Road through the four way intersection and then take a right on Route 16. Stay on Route 16 until you get to an intersection where you take a right and immediately bear left on Route 96 (South Street). Follow South Street. Take right on Chestnut. At end of Chestnut, turn left on Walnut. Turn right on Wallum Pond Road, and take left into Douglas State Forest. Follow road to transition area.

The run is a straight out and back route on Wallum Pond Road.

  From Mass: Take 290 to Exit 2 Webster Douglas, Take Rte 16 East towards Douglas.. Turn right onto Cedar St, at the intersection go straight across, park is on the right.

From 495. Take Rte 16 through Milford towards Douglas, turn left onto Cedar St at the state forrest signs.

From Rhode Island, Take 146 to Rte 16, follow 16 to the State Forrest.

 
     
 
Other Information
 
  The TDD Triathlon is a memorial race for Tyrus, Dante, and Daniel Vescio, and a fundraiser for the UMass Memorial Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

This race is a celebration. Bring the whole family. From 9:30 to 11:00 AM, magician, Stephen Brenner, will entertain and amaze the kids and the young at heart.

Athlete Information Packets with detailed information about the race will be sent to registered athletes (who provided accurate email addresses) after online registration closes on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. The top three finishers for elites, age groupers, athenas, clydesdales, and relay teams will receive medals and prizes. At the awards ceremony, Quadmultisport will hold a drawing for a Quintana Roo wetsuit.

This is the final race in the 2009 FIRM Grand Prix Series presented by Fuel Belt--the last opportunity for individuals and teams to earn points in the grand prix standings. Remember that these points can result in cool prizes for individuals and cash awards for teams.
